Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information YourAIRank (“we”, “us”) collects when you use yourairank.com (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email info@yourairank.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Website address. The domain you enter to run an AI visibility check.
• Account details. If you create an account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in plain text.
• Project settings. Information you add in the dashboard, such as brand name, other names, business description, country, city, language and your monitored questions.
• Messages. Anything you send us by email.

Information created when you use the Service

• Website information. When you run a check, we fetch the public homepage of the website you entered and store information from it (such as page title, description, headings and a text excerpt), plus a business profile and the questions we generate from it.
• Check results. The AI answers to those questions, and what we measured in them: brand mentions, businesses named, and the source links the AI returned.
• Rate-limiting data. To prevent abuse of free checks we store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address alongside each free check. We do not store the IP address itself for free checks.
• Session data. When you log in, we store a session record containing your IP address and browser user agent, so we can keep you signed in and protect your account.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (such as IP address, requested URL, time and status) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Service, mainly an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

How we use information

• To run AI visibility checks and show you the results.
• To provide your account, dashboard and saved reports.
• To send service emails, such as password reset links.
• To prevent abuse, enforce usage limits and keep the Service secure.
• To respond to your questions and requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service:

• OpenAI, which processes the generated questions and information from the checked website so it can understand the business and answer the questions using web search. Your account email and password are not sent to OpenAI.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers, including Vercel (application hosting and logs) and our managed PostgreSQL database provider.
• An email delivery provider, used to send service emails such as password resets.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or the Service. Payment processing is not yet active; if we add it, we will update this policy.

Report links

A report from a free check (without an account) can be viewed by anyone who has its link. Links contain a long, random identifier and are not listed or indexed by search engines, but you should only share them with people you trust. Reports saved to your dashboard are visible only to you when signed in.

Data retention

We keep account information and saved reports for as long as your account exists. We keep free check results so their links keep working and so repeat checks can reuse recent results. You can ask us to delete your account or any report at any time by emailing info@yourairank.com. Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before it is deleted.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls that limit each account to its own data, and restricted access to our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email info@yourairank.com from the email address on your account. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
